Marble Falls seventh-graders beat Lampasas

The Marble Falls Middle School seventh-grade A team defeated Lampasas 8-0 at Badger Field Oct. 28.

Elijah Sanchez had the game-clinching interception to preserve the win. He also had a 10-yard reception.

Ayden Alexander knocked down a Lampasas throw into the end zone at the end of the first half and had an interception on the next drive.

Easton Packer had a fumble recovery to keep the Badgers off the scoreboard, while Anson Cox had two “nice” pass break-ups. Charles Wood led with five tackles followed by Austin Miller with four and Chaton Drake and Chris Daniels each had three. Also in on the solid tackling were Luke Cox, Andrew Graham, Zaymian Granados, Copper Laird, Van Michael and Brayden Wingate.

Offensively, Alexander had three receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown, while Tristan Mosley caught a 12-yard pass and Quincy Rodriguez had four rushes for 25 yards. The quarterback is Wood.

The Mustangs went 2-0 against the Badgers this season, winning the first game against them 24-0.

Marble Falls welcomes Brownwood at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, to Mustang Stadium.
